Could you post some links to the shots in this thread?

2 of the shots had replays posted in the tournament thread and 2 of the shots were from Android Devices so no replays.

No replays on Android.

1221 wins Shot of the Tournament and he's making quite a habit of it!

Sorry for the rant but I feel it is unfair to give shot of the tournament to a shot which was achieved on hole 1 when they were sending the match request. You can make it any difficulty you want. Hole 9 portal lab hio for example. If you have infinite retries by resigning if you don't hit the shot you're bound to get it. It's just like practice tee until you hit it and then send the request. Not to mention no one even saw it but me and 1221.

Unlocked.

It's because of the nature of this tournament style. It's not that the shots are creative, but that they were nailed in the tournament setting. Anyone could spend 2 minutes in the practice hole to deduce HOW the laser ball was shot, but the percentage is very small, especially for 1221's shot.

Apparently enough people think the shot was good enough and trust me enough to vote for my shot. I've participated in every tournament we've held so far and never been accused of cheating (until now) even when cheating was very possible on every hole. I feel like I've built up a good enough reputation around here to avoid things like this. Maybe not.

If your issue is solely with the first shot being selected as winner (which seems unlikely, since you brought it up immediately after I made the shot) then there is definitely an argument to made. That's typically why we avoid playing hole 1 and 9. I think this tournament was supposed to be more lighthearted in the spirit of halloween, but that apparently didn't turn out too well.

Re: Who won the Halloween Hackup Shot of the Tournament?

I think it's very poor form to start complaining about something once it's been voted on and wrapped up. If anybody had an issue with anything in the tournament, they should have raised the issue with a bit more vigor as soon as it happened. Just my ¥2.

To save any future issues with this, it seems best to go with "Shot of the Tournament can't be hit on Hole 1".
